Ópera de Tenerife continues his work of disclose of this genus by the different municipalities and it has organized a lyrical recital, which will take place this Sunday [día 22]at 13:00 hours, in the cloister of the Convent of the Dominican Fathers, in Candelaria. This activity promotes the Cabildo Insular, through the Auditorium of Tenerife, with the cooperation of the City of Candelaria.

This recital is a parallel action for the promotion of the Opera season of Tenerife, which starts the month of October with the staging of L’elisir d’amore, a title that will count with the participation of the singers chosen for the seventh edition of Opera (e)Studio.

Some of these artists will be this Sunday in Candelaria. In the recital will be able to listen to the soprano Beatriz de Sousa, the tenor César Arrieta, the baritone Alberto Bonifazio and the low Givi Gigineishvili, who will be accompanied at the piano by Claudio Marchetti. The artistic director of Opera (e)Studio, Giulio Zappa, is in charge of the presentation of the act.

Attendees at the cloister will be able to hear parts of L’elisir d’amore, Gaetano Donizetti, such as: ‘Quanto e bella, quanto è cara’; ‘Come Paride vezzoso’; ‘Una parola, o Adina… Chiedi allaura lusinghiera’; ‘Udite, o rustici’; ‘ra, ra, ra… Esulti pur la barbara’; ‘Venti scudi!’ and ‘A furtive tear’. The recital will be with free admission until full capacity and will end with an aperitif.

L’elisir d’amore is the melodramma giocoso Giacomo Donizetti and the production that will be staged in the Auditorium of Tenerife is part of the academy of high specialization Opera (e)Studio, that this is funded by the Creative Europe programme of the European Commission.

The comic opera’s most famous composer will be represented on the days 24, 25 and 26 of October at 19:30 hours and Sunday the 27th at 18:00 hours at the Symphony Hall of the Auditorio de Tenerife, in a co-production in which, in addition Ópera de Tenerife, the participation of the Teatro Comunale di Bologna and Tbilisi Opera and Ballet State Theatre.
