The activity, with tickets sold out, starts at 19:00 hours at the headquarters of the Municipal School of Music
Singers that make up the eighth promotion of Opera (e)Studio will offer morning [jueves 25], starting at 19:00 hours, a recital-with tickets already sold out – at the Municipal School of Music of Adeje. This will be the second staging of the twelve artists, following the premiere of which took yesterday [martes 23] in the Auditorium of the University of La Laguna (ULL), which was attended by, among others, the minister of Culture of the Cabildo, Enrique Arriaga; the vice president for Culture, John Albino Méndez, and the director of the island Culture, Alejandro Krawietz.
The twelve artists who participate in this edition of the training academy, organised by the Culture department of the city Council through Ópera de Tenerife offered in The Lagoon -with gratuity included – and repeated in Adeje a tour of fragments popular of various composers. The different pieces were presented by the director of the academy, Giulio Zappa.
Arriaga was pleased that the show provided. “I think that has been demonstrated by the response from the public that the recital liked in this first opportunity to listen to international singers that are forming in our island,” said the Culture minister, who is convinced that this collective repeated success in Adeje and is confident in getting a good response in the four functions that will make this group of artists from the opera Il matrimonio segreto, from 18 to 21 march.
Alejandro Krawietz also highlighted the collaboration with the University of la Laguna. “We can always find facilities every time we come to your premises and this recital has become a classic in its season; in addition, it has been an excellent response from the public who, in these difficult times, continue to demand cultural offer”.
John Albino Méndez thanked the Auditorium of Tenerife “again, has opted for the Auditorium to host the presentation in the island of these young opera singers” and was very happy with the quality of the show offered.
In the recital of Adeje will be able to listen to thirteen pieces, three of them by Rossini, for his operas Il barbiere de Siviglia, La cambiale di marriage and La Cenerentola; two of Puccini (Edgar and La Rondine); and one of Donizetti (Don Pasquale), Monteverdi (L incoronazione di Poppea), Bizet (Les pêcheurs de perles), Rachmaninov (Aleko), and four of Cimarosa, from the opera Il matrimonio segreto, a title that will be rendered from 18 to 21 march at the Symphony Hall of the Auditorio de Tenerife.
Interpretations shall be borne by the young artists Giulia Mazzola (Italy), Veronika Seghers (Germany), Eleonora Note (Italy), Marilena Path (Italy), Mara Gaudenzi (Italy), Claire Gascoin (France), Bekir Serbest (Turkey), Antonio Mandrillo (Italy), Ignas Melnikas (Lithuania), Francesco Leone (Italy), Jan Antem (Spain) and Ramiro Maturana (Chile), accompanied at the piano by Claudio Marchetti.
Opera (e)Studio is a project started in 2013 as part of the season of the Opera de Tenerife. In the hearings that have been held in these eight years have participated 1.099 singers, who have been elected to the formation 87 singers from 23 countries. The initiative consists of an academy of refinement and artistic integral that aims to support and promote young singers to facilitate appropriate integration in the professional world. In fact, many of the singers who have gone through this project of Tenerife enjoy racing consolidated.
