The European Commission has made a final assessment on the project, led by Tenerife Auditorium of the opera L’elisir d’amore, which received a grant in 2019 for this organism within the call of your Creative Europe programme. This edition of Opera (e)Studio, which was performed with Opera and Ballet Theatre of Tbilisi and the Comunale di Bologna as partners, was rated as outstanding, to get 90 points over 100.

The report of the European Commission appreciates “the great quality of his interesting project” and notes that “the activities helped it reach a wider audience and that normally he would not be attending the opera”. The realization of a production team artistic young permits, according to the european body, connect with an audience who until then could have “a focus of the opera inaccessible or too old”.

Among the strong points of the project, the assessment of the European Commission highlights the capacity of training and education for young singers who are beginning their professional career. Also highlighted in the report that have participated in the convening young people from more than 30 countries and the collaboration with universities that have offered their facilities for concerts and conferences, obtaining in this way a portion of the production to the field of education.

Ten singers elected on a few auditions international starred in the production of L’elisir d’amore Opera (e)Studio, which was released in October 2019 in the Auditorium of Tenerife. Later it was performed in February of 2020 in Tbilisi and concluded in Bologna in September 2020. The functions in Italy were affected by the onset of COVID-19.

This circumstance was also valued by the European Commission., who recognizes that the three partners showed a strong partnership and worked together to overcome the odds. “Adaptation and the reaction proactive to resolve some of these difficulties related to this global crisis, in particular, showed the strong commitment that they had to implement their activities in the best possible way”, says the final report of the Commission.
